On the other hand it can never hurt to have a better flowing pump but its not a must for the JWR120i!
From my personal experience you actually run lean on fuel at 350 bhp already at high rpm's I mean sure you don't need a new fuel pump really unless the engine starts knocking, you can always buy new Conrods and Pistons instead, like I will have to do anytime soon. Might aswell be that my fuel pump is extremely weak on power but I somehow doubt that.
No Im not runing lean... checking AFR all the time and Im not runing lean...
What fuel pressure do you have on full throttle? And what AFR?
Since from what I understand you have checked it when runing lean at 350hp?
Fuel pressure can go down to around 3.3bar as max on my JWR120i with AS hardpipes and forge recirc(Blue spring) but still with perfect AFR according to Peter at Autotech.
And as I said before Autotech dont use an uprated fuelpump until they change turbo..
As I see it right now its a way to sell more stuff making all this fuss about the fuelpump. A few months ago not even the hybridturbo needed a new fuel pump but now its a must according to the dealers ;-)
How many RS have you heard with destroyed engines due to runing lean?
Last dyno I did I had 378hp on the wheels with safe fueling
