Thanks man, yeah she did well on the Ring on busy days in July. Maintaining low 8 minute laps, but can do better.

Sounds like a good performance already...my rs is for non-track use only, the significant extra wear and tear on the nordschleife keeps me off but is good fun watching the real blokes there who don't give a damn ...

Nice Car :bravo: . Can you tell us some details about your car, what was changed. It looks so normal but I think its a realy cracy car when you say the RS from your wife is the slower car.

Yeah, well my car is a 400 horse power RWD Cosworth powered through a Supra rear diff. The Focus RS is 260 horse power in the wrong wheels :lol:

You are completly cracy. In germany it will never be legal for using on normal streets. Is it hard to drive? The wheelbase is so short and I would think its realy nervous. In germany we say "wolf im schafspelz" (Wolf in sheep's clothing). Nobody expected this power, it looks like a normal focus.

Yeah, but I've driven all the way from the UK to Germany twice to the Ring with and to Norway and Sweden for Gatebil. Its a British registered car, German Police cannot do anything other than issue tickets.

Wheelbase is not an issue, the engine sits nice and far back in the bay to aid in weight distribution and the prop shaft is the same length as a normal Sierra Cosworth. So it drives the same, if not better than a Sierra Everything is rose jointed and more or less Group A spec, so its a very good car.

We call them "sleepers" here.

Big update coming, having finally removed my rear beam and sent off to MK Motorsport so Mark can sort my 6 degree rosejointed adjustable beam. No pics as of yet, but here's a few I found that have been made for previous customers. Pure work of art! So far I've the usual cleaning, grinding and undersealing of any section needed under the car ready for the rebuild.

Yeah, Mark's a bit of a genious. He takes original WRC components and makes them better and builds everything from billet or with welds like above. Very clever man! If I can do better than 8:05 on the Nurburgring on a race day with all these new parts, I'll be a very happy man!

Did a couple of tidy up bits while I continue to wait for my 6 degree beam, but much needed items I've seemed to overlook over the years.

Got some alloy sheeting and made a heat shield around the brake servo, then painted it with some high temp black. Neat enough. Replaced the old Cossie gear gator with this nice leather one. Then fitted the top Kinsey Motorsport foot plate.

Sorry for state of pics and car, need a right good clean inside and out and the exhaust wrap needs re-doing.
