•Objective was to achieve 350PS, with no compromise to long-term durability
•Developed a high performance alloy cylinder head which is machined by Cosworth in UK, then shipped to Valencia for assembly
•Fitted with high tensile cast iron liners
•The high capacity radiator is the largest ever in a Focus, includes Power Transfer Unit cooling
•Separate oil cooler is fitted
•Performance has been tested over hundreds of laps at tracks and circuits like the Nurburgringand Nardoas well as Lommel, plus backed by extensive rig-based durability cycles

•350PS and 440Nm (with 470Nm on overboost)
•0-100 km/h 4.7 seconds (0-60mph 4.4 seconds) –even quicker with Cup tyre
•Top speed 266 km/h, or 165 mph
•Shares architecture with New Mustang unit, but totally re-engineered for RS
•Increased power and performance, with significantly enhanced breathing
•Enhanced durability and cooling, even for sustained track driving
•Sound tuning, for unique RS character
EcoBoost–Power & Performance
•Fitted with a high-output Honeywell twin-scroll turbocharger, featuring a larger compressor housing, unique compressor and turbine wheels
•High flow intake design for minimum restriction
•Special, large bore exhaust system is fitted with an electric valve which provides the optimum balance of back pressure and NVH
•Engine is optimised for delivery of an outstanding RS performance character
•“Rewarding to Rev†with strong low-end performance –50-100km/h in 4th gear: 5.0 secs (vs 2009 Focus RS at 5.4 secs)
•Plus 175g/km CO2 emissions (22% less than 2009 Focus RS, with 15% more power)
